Dossier: Rodney Crother

Born in the Territory of Hawaii, grew up in southern California and spent a few years in the early 70's in the Army as an MP keeping the masses in compliance. Went to school at Cal Poly Pomona and at the U. of New Orleans for geology. That was a great city to be a student in! Now I'm back in So Cal working as an environmental consultant. I'm married with two kids, 6 and 8.

Always liked old SF movies but started reading it (beyond comic books) with Men, Martians, and Machines by Eric Russell, and my parents book club edition of the Martian Chronicles. Really took off when I broke my leg and was housebound for a long stretch and found a neighbor with a garage full of SF books. Been reading as much as possible ever since. I probably favor military and alternate history SF/fantasy books most. I have a collection of about 1,800-2,000 books with a fine collection of '70's underground comics.
